Wayne Agnew founder & CEO
Wayne Agnew is a licensed general contractor and the owner of A Cut Above G.C who is a lifelong resident of Washington DC. At the age of 9 Wayne was a young apprentice as he watched and helped his uncles and family members do small repair jobs on the weekends and discovered he had a knack as well as a passion for renovating and repairing homes. In 2003 he became a property owner with rentals throughout the DMV. After his own grandmother was scammed for large sums of money from a contractor, Wayne believed that he could create a company that could make a difference – a company that would bring back traditional values and trust while never sacrificing craftsmanship, a company that would give back to elderly people on fix incomes who might need home repairs.
Wayne and his team know the neighborhoods, work within its commercial and residential landscape (Kennedy Center, DC Housing, and WASA to name a few), and are woven into the fabric of the culture. Since 2003, they have given professional services to developers, property managers, commercial relators and home owners. Their core capabilities are flooring, carpentry, plumbing and, painting, electrical and general contacting services for small to medium size projects.
